Credit scores
The credit scores shown by Instacredit are educational scores provided by nationwide consumer reporting agencies, currently VantageScore models. There are many different credit scoring models, and the score a lender uses to make a credit decision may differ from the score shown here. Scores are updated on the schedule of your subscription and are not real-time.
Soft inquiries
When you access your own credit information through Instacredit, including when you request partner offers, the request is recorded as a soft inquiry. Soft inquiries are visible only to you and do not affect your credit score.
Free annual credit reports
Under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act you are entitled to a free copy of your credit report from each nationwide consumer reporting agency once every twelve months, and in other circumstances set out in the Act. You can obtain these at annualcreditreport.com or by calling 1-877-322-8228. Instacredit is a paid service, is not affiliated with that program, and is not required in order to obtain your free reports.
Not credit repair
Instacredit is not a credit repair organization as defined under the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act or any state law and does not provide credit repair services. We cannot remove accurate, current and verifiable information from your credit report, and we do not promise to improve your credit score. You have the right to dispute inaccurate information directly with the consumer reporting agency at no cost, and the agency must investigate within the time the law allows.
Partner offers
Partner offers shown in Instacredit are advertisements from companies we partner with. Instacredit is not a lender, card issuer or loan broker, does not make credit decisions and does not guarantee approval or any particular rate or term. CrediQ Inc may receive compensation from a partner when an offer is shown, clicked or taken up, and that compensation may affect which offers appear and in what order. Rates, fees and terms are set by the partner and are subject to the partner’s own review of your application.
